PMP Print takes category and medals at Pride in Print Awards

13 May 2009

PMP Print won three gold medals, three highly commended awards and a category at the 2009 Pride in Print Awards.

PMP Print in Christchurch was the overall winner of the Web Offset category for its production of the Cuisine Wine Country magazine (November issue). The publication also received a gold medal.

The judges said they had recently been involved in print awards in Asia and Australia, and they felt this magazine would stand up to anything they had seen in those regions.

PMP Print’s Christchurch site also won a gold medal for its web offset production of the January 2009 issue of Recipes Plus, and received a highly commended award for its production of the November 2008 issue of Cuisine magazine.

PMP Print at Wiri (South Auckland) won a gold medal for its production of the January 2009 issue of Fitness Life magazine, and received two highly commended awards for the Sunday News on December 14 and the Chrisco 2009 Christmas Hamper catalogue.

PMP general manager Peter Browne says he is delighted with the awards, both from a company and staff point of view.  “This is an industry acknowledgement of the high standard of our work and the investment we have made in our presses and technology,” says Mr Browne.  “We have made a strong commitment to delivering an outstanding product and service to our clients, and these awards reinforce that commitment.  “But just as importantly, this is a reflection of the high level of pride that our printing staff take in their work. This personal pride plays a key role in achieving our high quality results and I’m delighted that they have been recognised for their efforts.”
